About This Line
The MBTA Commuter Rail network extends Boston's transit reach across New England with 14 lines radiating from North and South Stations. Serving suburban communities, regional destinations, and connecting to Providence Airport, the Commuter Rail is vital for long-distance regional travel with frequent peak-hour service.

North Station is a major transit hub serving TD Garden (Celtics/Bruins), with Commuter Rail and Green Line connections.
3. Salem
Salem is a Commuter-Rail Line station. Salem station on the Newburyport/Rockport Commuter Rail line. Gateway to historic Salem with the Witch Museum, Peabody Essex Museum, and charming waterfront. Extremely popular in October.
4. Gloucester

T.F. Green Airport is a Commuter-Rail Line station. T.F. Green Airport station providing direct Commuter Rail access to Providence's airport (PVD). Often cheaper alternative to Logan.
